The Graphic & Visual Communications Designer plays a key role in shaping and maintaining LMN's visual identity and storytelling across digital and print media, leading the design of proposals, presentations, social media, and firm-wide communications. Working closely with the marketing, public relations, business development, and leadership teams, this individual brings creative vision, technical skill, and strategic thinking to translate design ideas into compelling, on-brand visuals that support pursuits, promote projects, and elevate the firm's brand. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detail-oriented designer with strong design fundamentals, a passion for design excellence, an interest in experimentation balanced with an appreciation for practicality, and the ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with marketing, business development, and firm leadership to conceptualize and execute visual storytelling for project pursuits and firm initiatives, advocating for strong visual communication across the firm.
- Lead the design of marketing collateral, including proposals, presentations, infographics, and other communication collateral, such as social media, award submissions, and marketing email campaigns.
- Continually seek to keep LMN’s visual communications dynamic and engaging.
- Champion innovation to position the LMN brand as an industry leader through advanced multimedia: motion graphics, video storytelling, and emerging digital media.
- Develop and maintain firm-wide brand standards and templates, ensuring visual consistency across all internal and external communications.
- Manage the firm’s portfolio of visual assets, including photography, graphics, templates, and branded materials.
- Maintain the firm’s website, including creating and updating pages and blog posts.
- Research and stay current on design trends, software, and industry best practices, sharing insights to keep the firm’s visual presence competitive.
- Mentor and develop other team members' graphic fundamentals and fluency.
- Coordinate with external vendors and printers to ensure quality and accuracy of final deliverables.
Qualifications:
Required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional design experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat), and fluency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong graphic design and layout skills, with a sharp eye for typography, color, and detail.
- Experience creating layouts, infographics, data visualizations, and presentations in collaborative, deadline-driven environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable managing multiple deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Portfolio demonstrates a range of work, including proposals, branded materials, and visual storytelling.
- Thrives in an environment where experimentation and creative risk-taking are encouraged.
Preferred
- Familiarity with OpenAsset or other Digital Asset Management systems; WordPress or similar website development platform; and Constant Contact or other email platform.
- Experience working in architecture or professional design environments.
- Ability to interpret architectural concepts and translate technical information into compelling visuals for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to produce animations and/or edit video content.
Office & Hybrid Hours
LMN’s standard work schedule is 40 hours per week. Employees collaborate in the office on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, while Fridays are hybrid workdays that allow employees to work in the office, from home, or another location of their choice. Core work hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing flexibility for employees to structure their schedules around personal commitments and commuting.
Compensation
This is a salaried position with a pay range of $90,000 - $114,000. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.

LMN offers medical, dental, and vision insurance to employees and their families, along with an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Depending on the employee’s choice of health insurance coverage, a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and a Health Savings Account (HSA) are available, as well as a Dependent Care FSA for employees with eligible dependents. Employees are also covered by long-term disability insurance and group term life insurance. After meeting eligibility requirements, employees may enroll in the LMN 401(k) plan, which includes discretionary matching and profit-sharing contributions. Employees accrue a minimum of 3 weeks of paid time off (PTO) during their first year and observe 9 holidays, including 2 floating holidays.
